Laurabeth Arvison Bucur

Speech Language Pathologist, AAC Specialist

Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Laurabeth moved to Georgia in 2018. She attended Southeast Missouri State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with minors in Autism Studies and Child Studies. She then continued on to Saint Louis University for her master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. While a graduate student at SLU, Laurabeth held a position as a research assistant, studying speech and language differences in individuals with Parkinson's. Laurabeth has presented her research at both the Missouri Speech-Language-Hearing Association convention and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association national convention.

Laurabeth has gained experience in a wide variety of settings, including pediatric and adult rehabilitation hospitals, public high and middle schools, specialized private schools for children with complex communication needs, private practices, and skilled nursing facilities. In her free time, Laurabeth enjoys teaching fitness classes, attempting Great British Bake-Off recipes, and hiking with her husband.
